Has anyone seen or grown a Royal Empress Tree and what do you know about hydrainga's?

We've been interested in the Empress tree for a while but haven't seen one in person. How fast do they really grow? And what about hydrania's (not sure on the spelling) how fast do they grow and what climate or area do they do best in?
