Scared that my cat has rabies?

Today, my cat went into my brothers room while he was sleeping, as the gate was open, so he went upstairs. When I went to get him and picked him up, he started scratching and trying to bite, and he bit me on the arm. I let go of him and found him again and picked him up, and he did the same thing. NOW HERES WHY IM WORRIED: The spot where he bit me on my arm tingled quickly after about a minute, and it is hurting a bit. It is not bleeding. I am worried as hell about rabies. He is a 6 month old kitten. He was vaccinated for rabies, but I am worried that the vaccine caused rabies, or didn't work. We got him when he was 1 month old, and he lived in a barn with other cats. What is wrong? He does like to go upstairs quite a bit. I have been sick the past few days with a runny nose, fatigue, and SORE THROAT, as well as my period. I struggle with hypochondria, and I am afraid that a panic attack is imminent. Please help me!
