Canine Corona Virus (20 characters)?

Coronavirus can be life threatening in puppies as well as older dogs, usually it is a Vx given with the parvo vaccination... I don't know what state your in but it seems strange that it was not given with the other shots. the most important thing for your dogs is to treat their symptoms, and they may not all contract it as well, you can help minimize the spread by washing your hands every time you pet your dog and or clean up "messes" that they make. four months old is a tricky age if the puppy has been vaccinated against the virus and has had ALL three sets of the recommended shots this lessens its chances. I would have them ask their vet if he thinks it would be safe, I would recommend against the puppy staying at your house and having interactions with your dogs especially if it has not had its three sets of puppy shots. be sure to use a 1part bleach to 10 parts water solution, using straight bleach will not clean better.... you can try finding a Lysol or something for the carpet check the back and see if it kills corona it will say on the back, or you can ask you vet f they sell a parvosol, or rocall that also kills the virus. be sure to shampoo the carpet and dispose of the water in the bath tub or the toilet then clean that with bleach, if you pour the water in the dirt it will wait for another animal to pick it up and gives it a host to live in! So other than that keep your dogs home until they are better, also how do you know it was corona? what test did the vet do? there are several other things that mimic corona's symptoms but are not contagious diseases.
